Perth District Health Unit
Health and Wellness Fair for Workplaces on October 18
The Perth District Health Unit is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair for Workplaces on Thursday, October 18, 2012. This fair is for people whose job it is to promote health in their workplaces. The fair will feature a variety of exhibitors who provide products, programs and services to help employers promote health and wellness to their employees.
The fair takes place from 11:30am to 2pm at the Stratford Country Club, 53 Romeo St N, Stratford. Guests can attend anytime during the fair hours. The event is free and includes a light lunch. Advance registration is required. Please register at www.pdhu.on.ca/healthyworkplaces.
A large portion of adults spend approximately 60 percent of their time at work. Therefore, the health of employees is a concern for many organizations. “Healthy employees are more productive, cost an organization less in health care costs, and report fewer sick days,” says Kerry Price, Workplace Wellness Coordinator at the Perth District Health Unit.
“The fair is ideal for people interested in learning about what help is available for workplaces who want to improve the health of their employees and their organization,” says Price.
People attending are asked to bring a business card as draws will be made for great prizes.
