Canadian Diabetes Association Launches New Tools and Resources

Just the Basics - This tool is available in a number of languages such as Tamil, Punjabi, Cree and Ojibwe. Visit www.diabetes.ca/basics to check them out. Our most recent tool, the Latin American Just the Basics also has online support material on its webpage, like many of the other cultural adaptations. This includes tools such as the Just the Basics in video format available in Spanish and Portuguese, cultural food pictures that can be used as teaching aids for carbohydrate counting and presentation slides. Foot Care - Tools for Healthcare Providers and Patients - CDA, in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Wound Care has just released a suite of tools to help you in your practice. Look for the new tools and posters for your office at www.diabetes.ca/for-professionals/page/6175/.

New Insulin Start Tools and Patient Education Materials - New patient education tools and HCP practice tools are now ready for your patients as they consider and begin their diabetes management with insulin, and to help you use a checklist in practice as you assist your patients starting insulin.
