Dog in Biting Incident Identified

An appeal for assistance has been successful to identify a dog in a biting incident earlier this week in Owen Sound. The owner of the dog came forward. The dog is identified as healthy and current for rabies shots. As a precaution, the dog will be put under confinement procedures for the remainder of the observation period. All dogs involved in biting incidents are confined regardless of vaccine status.

Public Health thanks the owner of the dog for coming forward and the media and the community for bringing this incident to a successful conclusion. Public Health anticipates no further action in this matter.
