Service Description: Provides individualized counselling, support, advocacy and educational services that meet the needs of the community * programs and services include:
 
Adult Protective Services - Case management involving assessment, coordination, advocacy and counselling for individuals 18 years and over who have a developmental disability
 
Counselling Services - Provides individual, couples, family therapy, group therapy, seniors caregiver support and counselling, family violence treatment program, men's groups, women's groups
 
Credit Counselling - Includes personal money management, budget counselling, arrangement and administration of the Consumer Debt Repayment Program
 
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Contracted service through employer offering employees help with personal concerns
 
Family Support - Case Management - Provided to families with a child (birth to 18 years) who has a developmental or physical disability
 
Family Violence Program for Men - Group treatment for male perpetrators of domestic violence (Partner Assault and Child Abuse) * offers a sixteen week group in a psycho-educational format
 
Familyhome Program - Supported private home placement for adults with developmental disabilities
 
Foundations Initiative - Provides young people 18 to 24 years with developmental disabilities the opportunity to develop leadership, literacy and numeracy skills as well as recreational, leisure and social opportunities
 
Hospice Services - Provides compassionate care in home or out of home through services provided by trained volunteers
 
Literacy/Numeracy - Classes provided to adults with developmental disabilities who require skills for a job or volunteer position  * Classes are provided on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
 
Program for Older Adults and their Caregivers - Information and service to seniors and their families with regard to decisions in changing accommodation, legal, financial issues and counselling
 
Respite Program - Provides respite care through a variety of programs
 
Social Work for Community Care Access Centre (SW CCAC) - Individual and family counselling and advocacy
 
Special Services at Home - Provided on a one-to-one basis to infants, children and adults with a developmental disability
 
Violence Against Women (VAW) Program - Offers free, community-based counselling, support, advocacy and referral services to women and children who have experienced abuse
