Service Description:
|
Positive parenting groups offer parents an opportunity to learn strategies that work while parenting their child in a positive manner that builds self-esteem
Groups are offered in Strathroy at the Search Community Mental Health Centre every spring and fall
Kid to Kid - 7 week program for children ages 7-14 who have a family member living with mental illness
Child Witness to Violence - 12 week program for children who have been exposed to and affected by woman abuse and violence in their family
Friends for Life- 11 week children's program that deals with anxiety/worry, coping with stress, increasing emotional resilience and problem solving abilities
Caring Dad's - 12-17 week program that aims to engage fathers and helps them to develop child centered fathering and take responsibility for abusive behaviour towards children
Parent Education- identify and support skills needed by parents * may be offered to families while they wait for other Vanier services
