Service Description: Information and Reference Service * directories, searchable databases, bibliographies, extensive document collection

Databases:
* Treatment Services in Canada: detailed inventory of addiction treatment services in Canada, National Database of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Substance Use during Pregnancy Resources, Canadian FASD and related resources
* Addictions Organizations in Canada: broad-based listing of organizations involved in the addictions field (e.g., policy, prevention, treatment)
* Education Program: information about individual courses as well as diploma and degree programs in the addictions field

Research and Policy: Compiles and analyzes evidence-based research to provide sound policy guidance and to promote informed public debate on critical substance abuse issues.

Workforce Development and Training: Provides leadership in workforce development by promoting best practices and training opportunities, and evaluating possibilities for standards-setting, certification and accreditation within the treatment field.

Drug Prevention Strategy for Canada's Youth: Leading a major new drug prevention effort as part of the federal government’s National Anti-Drug Strategy. The goal of strategy is to reduce the number of young people 10–24 years old who use illicit drugs, to delay the onset of use, to reduce the frequency of use, and to curb the use of multiple illicit drugs.
