Community Health Centre Welcomes a New Physician, New Patients

The South East Grey Community Health Centre is pleased to announce that Dr. Charles Murphy will begin seeing patients at the South East Grey Community Health Centre beginning November 7, 2011 as a new member of staff. Dr. Murphy brings years of primary care practice to the clinic and is very familiar with the needs of rural patients. Dr. Murphy will be working alongside two nurse practitioners, a physiotherapist, two social workers and a dietitian.

The Community Health Centre is currently accepting new patients. People with no primary health care provider (a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner) or people with a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner who is out of the region can become a patient of the Community Health Centre.

To become a patient, drop by the centre and fill out the “Request for a Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner” form. A member of staff will be happy to book an appointment while you are there. Or, to have a form mailed to you, call 519-986-2222 or toll free at 1-855-519-2220.

Patients can make appointments to see a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner for any of their health care needs.

Programs and services coming soon at the Community Health Centre:

  • Flu shot clinic on-site
  • Counselling with a social worker
  • Physiotherapy
  • Dental health services for youth 17 and under
  • Cardiac Wellness Program
  • Support for stopping or reducing tobacco use
