Service Description: Offers support for international and national relief efforts and delivers local community-based programs that help vulnerable people in Canada and around the world

Supports for older adults and those recovering from illness or injury's * helps people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible

International Relief
- Assists the world’s vulnerable populations through disaster relief, development, preparedness and prevention

Youth Group
- Learn about world humanitarian issues * develop leadership skills and participate in humanitarian activities
Community Support Services - Assisted Living - Assistance with personal support and essential homemaking services including:
Community Support Services - Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) - Equipment loan for care of clients at home * includes wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, commodes and bath transfer seats
Disaster Management Services - Assists people affected by personal or large scale disasters * works in partnership with governments and other humanitarian organization following a disaster to provide immediate basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, first aid, emotional support and family reunificaiton * emergency shelters * services are offered on the identified community needs and the role that Red Cross has in the local disaster response plan
Injury Prevention Programs - First Aid, Babysitting and Water Safety - Training provided in First Aid, Automatic External Defribrillator (AED), Cardiopulmonary Resususcitation (CPR) child safety, babysitting courses * workplace and group training can be arranged * water safety through Learn-to-Swim continuum and public education to develop healthy, positive attitudes toward water safety
Restoring Family Links - Helps Canadians re-establish contact with immediate family members after separation due to war, external conflict or other international crisis
