Service Description: Offers support for international and national relief efforts and delivers local community-based programs that help vulnerable people in Canada and around the world * volunteers always welcome and can find more information by contacting the branch

International Relief -
Assists the world’s vulnerable populations through disaster relief, development, preparedness and prevention * accepts charitable donations

Humanitarian Issues Promotion (H.I.P)
- For youth * to learn about world humanitarian issues * develop leadership skills and participate in humanitarian activities
 
Community Health Services - Provides customized community health services for clients who are ill, elderly or living with a disability
 
Disaster Management Services - Volunteers assist people affected by personal or large scale disasters * work in close partnership with governments and other humanitarian organizations following a disaster to provide people's basic needs
 
Home Equipment Loan Program (H.E.L.P) - Rents equipment (short term-three months) for the care of clients at home including: crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, commodes, etc
 
Injury Prevention and First Aid Programs - Branch classes offer first aid training, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), child safety, water safety and babysitting courses at scheduled course times
 
Restoring Family Links - Program helps Canadians re-establish contact with immediate family members after separation due to war, external conflict or other international crisis
 
Transportation Services - Pre-arranged transportation is available for medical and therapy appointments, to day programs and social trips
Fees: Set fee for safety and transportation * donations accepted
Application: Self referral or through South West Community Care Access Centre for those who meet eligibility criteria
