Self-help program with a primary purpose of staying sober and helping other alcoholics to achieve sobriety * members go through the 12 Step Program to share experiences and to act as a base of support for each other * open discussion meetings for members, families and friends as well as closed discussion meetings for members only * meetings are organized at various locations, 7 days a week * some meetings have guest speakers on a regular basis * call or see website for a listing of local meeting times and locations
