Service Description: Investigates complaints about services provided by the Ontario government and its organizations after other avenues fail, including municipal closed meetings, school boards as of September 1, 2015, and municipalities and universities as of January 1, 2016 * conducts systemic investigations on important issues about government services, which can affect large numbers of people * cannot deal with matters regarding the federal government, private businesses, the courts or judges * Ombudsman is an office of last resort * services are free and confidential * complaints may be made in writing, by email or via the website, by telephone, in person or by fax
