Double Up Your Donation During Hope Squared!

Scotiabank helps United Way improve lives

It's ten days of giving and one big tour that can have a positive effect on communities across the region.

Dec. 3-13, United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) donation boxes will be in Scotiabank branches across Perth and Huron Counties as part of the Hope Squared event. Community members are encouraged to bring their donations to the closest branch and Scotiabank will match total contributions given during the event up to a maximum $15,000. Phone and online donations during this time also qualify.

“Hope Squared is an important event on the United Way calendar,” says UWPH Campaign Co-chair Martin Ritsma. “We encourage anyone who hasn’t given to the campaign yet, and wants to have an even greater impact, to donate and take advantage of Scotiabank’s generosity.”

To cap off the ten days of giving, United Way staff and volunteers will get on a bus December 13 to tour branches in St. Marys, Exeter, Goderich, Listowel, Milverton, Mitchell and Stratford, collect donation boxes and say thanks to Scotiabank employees. Each branch also welcomes local dignitaries during tour stops and hears stories of how, with the help of donors, UWPH improves lives of local people in need.

UWPH is 100% local and supports 48 organizations and services that address #unignorable issues like poverty, isolation and youth mental health in communities across Perth and Huron Counties. To donate, please call 519-271-7730 / 1-877-818-8867, drop in to 32 Erie Street, Stratford, ON N5A 2M4 or visit
