Service Description: Immediate emotional support, practical assistance and referrals to longer term supports to victims and people who have been affected by crime and tragic circumstances including fire, assault, disaster, robbery, suicide, homicide, stalking, sudden death, property crime, domestic abuse, elder abuse, missing persons, farm accidents, sexual assault and motor vehicle accidents * works in partnership with emergency services and community agencies

Volunteer Training - Volunteers provide emotional support and practical assistance,  either on-scene or over the telephone to people in need in the community * comprehensive 40 hour training program begins in the fall and spring * to volunteer fill out the online application or call the office

Fees: Free
Application: Referral by emergency services personnel * people and agencies can call the crisis line directly
Eligibility / Target Population: Victims of crime, tragic circumstance or disaster, and their families
Languages: English * French
Language Notes: Interpretation available upon request
