Manages Ontario's fish, wildlife, Crown forests, parks, and protected areas- supports outdoor recreation
- protects people, property, and communities from forest fires, floods, and droughts
- protects biodiversity
- provides information on how to prevent and manage conflicts with wildlife, such as coyotes, wolves, and foxes
- promotes economic opportunities in the resource sector
- leads the management of Ontario’s Crown lands, water, oil, gas, salt, and aggregates resources
- makes Crown land available for renewable energy projects
