The in-house exercise programs at the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging (CCAA) are evidence-based and were developed as model programs for community-dwelling older adults. Participants must be 55 years of age or over. CCAA memberships are available monthly or annually and all classes are led by certified Senior Fitness Instructors.
This exercise class is combined of both cardio and strength activities, including accelerated walking or other cardiorespiratory exercises, muscle strength, power and endurance training, balance and flexibility training.
Please note: New participants require a fitness appraisal to measure various components of fitness and helps to identify the most appropriate exercise program. Fitness appraisals take approximately 1 hour to complete and the cost is $56.50, including HST. A 3-month commitment is required for new participants.
Fees:
Annually — 2 classes/week $360+tax * 3 classes/week $510+tax
Monthly — 2 classes/week $35+tax * 3 classes/week $50+tax
