ASHP provides vital programs, education, and individualized support to people living with dementia and their care partners across Huron and Perth Counties. Through services such as First Link® navigation, education and support groups, one to one counselling, and community based programs, ASHP helps individuals and families access timely, compassionate support close to home, reducing isolation and strengthening quality of life. Serving primarily small towns and rural communities, ASHP plays a critical role in enabling people living with dementia to remain engaged and supported in their communities, while connecting local needs and voices to the broader provincial and national Alzheimer Society Federation.

Position:  Executive Director

Region:  Huron and Perth

Description:  Alzheimer Society Huron Perth is seeking a strategic, values driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter. This is a meaningful opportunity to build on a strong foundation, work alongside a deeply committed team, and strengthen the organization’s impact across Huron and Perth Counties. This role is ideal for a leader motivated by purpose, community connection, and making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

What You’ll Do:
 

You will partner closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement ASHP’s strategic plan, support strong governance, and ensure the organization’s financial health and sustainability. You’ll provide executive oversight of programs and operations, foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and represent ASHP as a trusted leader within the community and the broader Alzheimer Society Federation, including provincial and national partners.

You are a collaborative, thoughtful leader who balances strategic vision with practical execution. You value people, the staff, volunteers, clients, and partners and lead with empathy, clarity, and integrity. You’re comfortable guiding change in respectful ways, strengthening alignment and culture, and serving as a visible, engaged ambassador for a mission driven organization.

What You Bring: 

  • 5+ years senior leadership experience in a non profit, community based, or health related organization.
  • Strong people centered leadership, with the ability to build trust, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Experience working effectively with a Board of Directors in a governance setting.
  • Sound financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to lead change thoughtfully while strengthening alignment and organizational culture.
  • Understanding of rural and small community service contexts.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful leadership and service delivery.
  • Clear, credible communication skills and a professional ambassadorial presence.

Salary:  $90,000 - $115,000 annually

Terms of Employment:  Full-time
