Community Legal Clinic

legal information and summary advice
legal representation in certain cases
community education to vulnerable groups via presentations at community agencies, schools, and employment programs
law reform/group advocacy for workers

Legal Services - information, legal advice and representation for low income non-unionized workers; handles:

workers' rights including employment standards
wrongful dismissal
termination/severance pay
human rights applications such as being dismissed from work because of a disability or because of asking for accommodation or a change in work duties due to a disability
health and safety issues including penalties/punishments or dismissal for expressing health and safety concerns
advice regarding all areas of Workers Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, but representation only for specific types of claims such as Work Transition Services and Occupational Disease Appeals
