Service Description: Advocacy and services for people with arthritis

Education programs and therapeutic services * helps people understand the social and economic impact of the disease * advocates for the accessibility of arthritis medications * fundraising activities help fund arthritis research initiatives and service programs

Community-based therapy service - Physical therapy, occupational therapy and social work offered to help clients manage their arthritis and maintain functioning in their community * provided in variety of settings (home, clinic, schools, groups and workplaces)

Chronic Pain Management Workshops - 2-hour workshops for adults, as well as children and their parents * provides an introduction to the concept of self-management, offer tips and suggestions on techniques to deal with chronic pain, offers practical and age-appropriate information and activities

Fees: Free for most services * set fee for some workshops
Application: Call or email * confirmed arthritis diagnosis needed for therapy services with patient information from doctor or health care provider preferred * see referral form
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: People of any age with any form of a confirmed arthritis diagnosis and their families
Languages: English ; French
Language Note: French reception, publications and website * some brochures in other langauges available
