Service Description: Provides socialization, recreation, physical/cognitive exercise, and caregiver relief in a medically monitored environment * clients come to the program to take part in a wide variety of activities assisted by professional staff and trained volunteers * a meal with friends, a game of cards, music, exercise, crafts, and visiting with new friends are all common activities

Nutritious snacks and a hot lunch are provided

Transportation to and from the program can be arranged as needed


Bruce Peninsula - Adult day program * social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for adults 18 and older in a group setting for part of the day * helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care

Medication Assistance Medication must be in original dispensing container indicating name, medication, dosage and special instructions * up-to-date list of medication taken at home and at Day Program is required and is responsibility of client/caregiver
Mobility Assistance Staff are trained in transfers, escorting and falls prevention * clients with canes, walker, wheelchairs and other mobility issues accommodated
Incontinence Supports clients with bladder incontinence *clients encouraged to wear briefs or pads to support bladder control and invited to bring a spare change of clothing to be stored at the program

Transportation Volunteer drivers or staff can pick up clients in the morning and bring them home in the afternoon, for an additional fee
 

Fees: $13 per day * additional $13-15 fee for transportation (return trip)
