The Calendar of Support for Families of Children with Special Needs provides
information and resources for families and caregivers of children with special needs
living in the South West Region of Ontario.
The calendar includes information about family and parent support groups, parent/caregiver
education/conferences, Annual General Meetings, parent/caregiver workshops, parent/caregiver
training, sibling workshops and groups, leisure and recreational activities for
children with special needs.
The calendar gives priority to organizations and programs that are:

oriented to children with special needs (as defined as children having developmental
disabilities, physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, dual-diagnoses,
sensory impairments, vision and or hearing or other communication challenge and
children who are medically fragile,

|
|
|
Who are:

|
|
|
|
2)
|
under the age of 18 years,
|
|
|
|
|
3)
|
live in South West Region of Ontario, which includes the counties of Middlesex,
Elgin, Oxford-Norfolk, Bruce-Grey and Huron-Perth and the City of London.

The calendar does not currently include information about treatment opportunities
for children with special needs, nor does it include such organizational events
as fundraising opportunities. The calendar is provided as a service to the community
